Bafana Bafana are back in action later this month after finishing third in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Hugo Broos’ men should be brimming with confidence ahead of their two friendly games.

Bafana will play Andorra and Algeria in the next three weeks, according to FIFA.

The 2023 Afcon semi-finalist will first play Andorra in Annaba on 21 March, followed by a game against Algeria at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki.

This will mark the first-ever encounter between Bafana and Andorra in an official match.

After their Afcon heroics, South Africa are now ranked 58th in the world according to the FIFA rankings.

Broos, who led the team to third in the continental tournament, might not return to the country after reports emerged that he told the South African Football Association that he wanted to vacate his position.

Safa are yet to respond to the rumours but time will tell if Broos will return as coach

Bafana’s first opponents, Andorra are ranked 164th in the world. One would assume SA will have less trouble beating their European opponents.

Algeria’s match will test the South Africans and also gauge their readiness ahead of their World Cup qualifier matches.
