A fan at the PGA Championship in Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky sent X users into a frenzy after picking up a snake on Sunday.

In the video, a spectator was seen picking the reptile up at the course.

After grabbing the snake by its head, the fan set it on the grass and gestured for it to slither away.

While he received an ovation from surrounding fans, the bold bystander was also praised by others on social media.

A video of a second snake on the course was posted by PGA of America on X on Saturday.

The video of the fan capturing the snake has gone viral as users of the platform praised his ‘Kentucky bravery’.

‘Kentucky golf fans are built different,’ said one X user.

Meanwhile, American Xander Schauffele outdueled compatriot Bryson DeChambeau down the back nine on Sunday to win the PGA Championship, capturing his first major triumph with the lowest score in major history.

Schauffele sank a tension-packed six-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole for a one-stroke victory over DeChambeau to snap a two-year victory drought.
