‘It’s more than just a business decision’: American star 50 Cent shared a glimpse of the recently launched G-Unit studios.

American rapper and businessman 50 Cent — real name Curtis James Jackson III officially launched G-Unit studios in Shreveport on Thursday, 19 April.

50 CENT LAUNCHES G-UNIT STUDIOS IN SHREVEPORT

The rapper’s film and TV studio is located in Louisiana. Taking to his feed, 50 Cent said he is “excited to announce the expansion of G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of” his G-Unit Studios in Shreveport.

Last year, the P.I.M.P hitmaker announced that he was in the process of building his own film and TV studio. He also boasted about the size of the studio, revealing that it was about 985,000 square feet.

Speaking with Billboard recently, 50 Cent opened up about the launch of G-Unit studio. “As someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television, I’m beyond excited to introduce the expansion of my G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of G-Unit Studios right here in Shreveport,” the rapper was quoted as saying.

Over the years, 50 Cent has produced the popular TV series Power as well as Ghost, Raising Khanan, and Force.

“From the gritty narratives of the streets to the compelling stories that define our era, G-Unit has always been more than just entertainment. It’s a platform for voices that need to be heard, stories that need to be told. Bringing G-Unit Studios to Shreveport is not just a business decision; it’s a commitment to fostering talent, creating opportunities, and building a community that thrives through creativity and innovation. We see Shreveport as a beacon of inspiration and creativity,” 50 Cent reportedly said.

MORE ABOUT THE G-UNIT ’S FILM STUDIOS

A press conference was held on Thursday, which also included a ceremonial signing of 50 Cent’s lease of the city-owned movie studio, KTBS reported. Mayor Tom Arceneaux handed 50 Cent a key to the city, as seen in one of the posts shared on the rapper’s feed. The American star is seemingly looking forward to the future of entertainment in Shreveport.

“You gotta watch me because my next move is always my best move,” he captioned.

“It’s more than just a business decision. This is a commitment to fostering talent, creating opportunities and investing in the community itself to build what I would need to be able to execute what I got going with G-Unit Studios. It is going to create a lot of jobs,” 50 Cent was quoted as saying.
